Still-Life Painting
November 14, 15 & 16
Time: Daily 9am-4pm
Cost: $250
Instructor: Tom Lucas
Description: Develop an eye for noticing the nuances of color and light. Working with oil, students will paint intriguing still-life subjects, including both historical and contemporary Native American articles. The class will cover everything from setting up a still life to learning to see beyond the subject, as well as working with a limited palette. The basics of composition, color, value, edges and how to approach different surfaces of a subject will be explored using Tom Lucas's unique painting perspective.
Artist Tom Lucas is a professional oil painter and an Associate member of the Oil Painters of America.
