Encaustic Painting

$75 fee includes all materials

Encaustic painting is the process of using melted and pigmented beeswax to create exciting, luminous paintings. This 4-lesson workshop covers the equipment needed, work space setup, creating a smooth surface with wax, adding layers of color between layers of wax, a variety of drawing transfers and working safely with your materials. Students will develop confidence with the basic techniques of a new medium and walk away with a finished painting.
