This is the a fantastic 2 day workshop option for beginners in watercolor painting as well as experienced artists. If you’ve always wanted to start watercolor painting, this is the class for you! If you are an experienced painter looking for an open studio community setting to explore advanced techniques alongside, this is the class for you!

In this class we will cover the fundamentals of color mixing, different watercolor painting techniques (such as wet-on-wet and dry brush), mounting and stretching watercolor paper, using references both real life and photographs, and how to experiment with watercolors. This class will cover all forms of watercolor painting from direct painting (no drawing) to limited use of drawing as an approach to painting using references from real life and photographs. In the class we will also explore advanced watercolor methods like masking fluids, granular salts, and inks.

Class is open to students age 14 and up.
