The LAC presents a hands-on workshop featuring the linoleum cut: carving and printing. Participants will create a printing surface from the traditional material known as battleship linoleum. The one-day workshop will consist of two sessions: 1) General introduction to the process, and carving the block. 2) After a break for lunch, the afternoon session will focus on a variety of printing techniques.
Each person needs to bring the following: An idea or sketch or photo that be drawn onto the linoleum surface (approximately 6 x 8")
Limit: 12 people, Minimum age: 10
Instructor: Jim Jereb, Professor of Art and head of the Printmaking program at Truman State University. Jereb has taught workshops covering many art techniques and processes across the U.S.
